2007 Season - Week 4

Trading Day 1 For those who need to replace injured players or players who are just not performing and for AP who needs to replace his franchise QB (Michael Vick) Trading Day 1 is just around the corner. It will be before the week 5 fixtures this Sunday at 4:30pm ie before the Sky doubleheader of Detroit @ Washington & San Diego @ Denver with Miami @ Houston & Baltimore @ San Francisco on the red button.

How Trading Days Work An explanation for Mark H and a reminder for everyone else of how this important day will work. Firstly this is one of only two times when you can make changes to your team. Trading Day 2 will be before the week 11 fixtures on Sunday 18th November. On Sunday we all give up any players we wish in the order of lowest scoring owner to highest. Then the lowest owner will select 1 replacement player followed by second lowest and so on. Once the highest scorer has selected a replacement player we return to the lowest and so on until all rosters are full again. You may select players dropped by others but you must end trading with a legal squad (1 x Coach, 1 x Kicker, 1 x QB, 2 x RB, 3 x Receivers). If you cut a Franchise player you must still pay him until his contract is up eg if AP cuts Vick he will still have to pay him his $2m salary until the end of his contract and so will only have up to $8m to spend on his players until the end of the year. A coin toss will be used to decide who picks first on the two occasions where two people have the same number of points. The Trading order will be:- 1 David S, 2 Daz, 3 and 4 Aaron or Cheryl (coin flip), 5 Marcus, 6 Chief, 7 John, 8 Dave G, 9 and 10 AP or George (coin flip), 11 Wayne, 12 Johnny, 13 Mark B, 14 Mark H, 15 Ron and 16 Andy H. If you intend to come to HQ please let me know as Hall of Famer Cheryl will be cooking. If you intend to trade but can’t get here let me know and we’ll work out the best way. If you don’t want to trade anybody don’t do anything. One owner who may not be trading anyone is Andy H… H is for Happy Andy H may not trade anyone as he already has a 62 point lead in the Hunt for the Papas Fritas Trophy. Last week he scored a personal best 66 points and entered the Hall of Fame for the 3rd time. 66 ties Cheryl for the fourth highest ever score behind John (67pts) and AP who in a magical fortnight in 2003 scored 68 and 70 points.
